Vertical anime is animation created specifically for full-screen viewing on mobile devices. No black bars, no zooming, just a natural, immersive experience designed for the phone in your hand.

At Shortcat, anime is created through a hybrid production process. Our stories, characters, artistic direction and key images are crafted by human artists, while new technologies such as AI are used during the animation process. In total, up to 20 artists can be involved in the production of a single short anime: illustrators, writers, storyboarders, animators, editors, voice actors, sound designers, and more. Technology supports the process. Artists create the anime.
